Melissa Lischer, born in 1986 in Basel (CH), is of Swiss and Cameroonian heritage. From a young age, she was drawn to the performing arts, participating in school theatre and discovering her talent for singing and music early on.

Between 2002 and 2010, she performed with the renowned Big Band Föhn from Lucerne, gaining valuable stage experience. In 2005, she completed a vocal program at the Jazz School Lucerne and trained in dance with the Matchless Dancers as an animation and show dancer from 2006 to 2008.

Since 2011, Melissa has been signed as a singer/songwriter with profimusic, releasing an album and several singles. She completed her professional acting training at Drama Academy Switzerland in Olten in 2023/2024.

In 2023, she gained her first on-set experience as an extra in Tschugger Season 3 (directed by David Constantin), and appeared in the feature film HELDIN (2024, directed by Petra Volpe). She also took on supporting roles in the short films Eldur (2024) and Water Horn (2024), and played the lead role in the stage play 1857 – Ein Herbst ohne Gnade in Volketswil ZH, directed by Susanna Zachar.

In 2025, Melissa is taking the stage as part of the Live on Stage musical production. In November 2025, she will appear in the lead role of the two-person theatre production The Soul Algorithm.

Outside of her creative work, Melissa enjoys climbing (indoors and outdoors), hiking in the mountains, and surfing.
